I have been gone most of the summer up north helping my parents and visiting as many quilt shops as I could squeeze in. I finally made it home two evenings ago and now I am sorting through my quilt purchases and attempting to create a blog organizer so that I can share with y’all the many wonderful things I saw on my trip.
While getting myself organized I updated my list of quilts that are in UFO stage, need to be quilted, or that I have the fabric sitting here waiting to be made up. The list is alarmingly long, so now that it’s hit the triple digit temperatures, it’s time to hibernate and sew.

I have been watching many videos from the Missouri star quilt company for ideas on all the precut sizes.. I have a ton of scraps to make into quilts. I will also look at the Modabakeshop for recipes on quilts… There are some very lovely quilts out there….

Yes, ma’am there are! I had forgotten all about Moda’s Bakeshop. I was just on Quilter’s Cache looking at paper piecing patterns for some Christmas blocks that I had forgotten about. 😀

My list includes at least a Russian rubix quilt, apple core quilt, drunkards path medallions quilt and a clam shell quilt. I guess im moving into a curved era of quilting soon. -katariina (from Finland)

Those sound lovely! I did several curved blocks for the Pony Club swap. They were a challenge and my best advice is to go SLOW, and make it a SCANT 1/4″. Oh, and the iron will be your best friend. Happy Sewing!
