Sleeps 8 if you use the bunkhouse. Craft room is separate from the sleeping areas. Has a cutting table and ironing station. Massive TV. Massive kitchen area with all the things you’ll need. Walk to Market Days from the retreat center. Pay by the facility and not the number of people. Powered reclining beds. 2 people per room each room with its own bathroom. Quilt shop right down the road in case you need something. We’ve always seen deer on the property. Set way back from the road so no disturbance. Last time I enjoyed the hot tub. It was perfect.

Mahoney Oaks will be celebrating its 10th year of hosting quilters and scrapbookers in January. We are conveniently located 3 miles from Interstate 30, just outside Sulphur Springs, and Cara’s Quilt Barn is just a few steps out the back door for your shopping pleasure.

This is a beautiful retreat center that feels out in the country but is close to all the major shopping. HEB and Buccee’s are a 10-minute drive. Holds 10 (I think) with a 6-person minimum. She charges by the person and not by the facility. Everything is extremely comfortable. A couple of people could share beds to get to the maximum capacity. Amazing common areas. Large cutting tables. Ironing stations and quilt walls included. Large picture windows overlooking the Texas Hill Country. We always see wildlife. Plenty of space between tables. Power to each table. Debbie and her husband live on the property in case you need anything. There is a concrete pad up at the house to load and unload on. Otherwise, plan to park in the gravel driveway. I have 1 guest with mobility issues, and she has to stay on the concrete pad with her car or she can’t get to it. The pad is right at the entrance to the craft room for easy loading and unloading.

Has a quilting studio for 6 that you can rent. $18 per person per day. We’ve booked single days and full weekends to hold our own retreats. No sleeping arrangements. Plenty of hotels / vacation rentals in the area. Each table has its own power strip. Cutting tables and ironing stations available. Quilt walls available. No media sources, so bring your own speaker if you want music.
