Good Fortune ~ Quiltville’s Annual Mystery Quilt 2018 Week 2

Good Fortune weeks 1 and 2 together

These update posts are going to be fairly short and succinct. The clues are copyrighted information and I detest spoilers so I won’t be sharing unit counts or sizes.

If you don’t follow Bonnie Hunter over at Quiltville, check out her blog. It is a treasure trove of patterns, tips, and general quilting information for quilters of all levels.

The blues for Good Fortune mystery quilt clue 2

This weeks clue was fairly simple, but time consuming in squaring up that many little half square triangles. Blues and neutrals were on the menu and I am in love with these little hst’s.

They aren’t quite finished yet, but I’ll be done in time for the next clue.

There was also more progress made on the red & neutral 4-patches. They should be finished in time for Clue #3 as well. Slow and steady wins the race.

Snowflake applique and Good Fortune clue #1 from Nakeytoes Quilting

In other news, I managed to get a snowflake cut out for an applique pillow. That will be an upcoming post so be sure to follow me so you can see it’s progress. And if you don’t own one of these Olfa rotating mats, get one. Now. They are such a useful tool.

If you’re on Instagram, be sure to follow the hashtags #goodfortunequilt and #quiltvillemystery. That will allow you to see what other quilters are doing with their Good Fortune Mystery.

Have a wonderful rest of the week and I’ll update after I start Clue #3.

Linking up with Quiltville.

Blessings!
